Gyémánt Bálint Trio Gyémánt Bálint - guitar
Eged Márton - bass guitar Gálfi Attila - drums The band was formed in 2004. The members had known each other from the Music Art School of Kobanya. At first they jammed a lot, and recognized a harmony, the feeling of discovering something new together. That kept them together to form a new band. Marton Eged bassist and Attila Galfi drummer is also the progressive rhythm section of The Transform Quintet. (which plays with the pianist Joey Calderazzo on a regular basis) Their fusion-style approach mixed with the mainstream based guitar playing of Balint Gyemant opened a lot of new doors for their music. Their great advantage is the ability to rethink classic jazz standards building a bridge between the mainstream and groove based music. Clear and lyrical solos are mixed with special rhythmic solutions differing from traditional jazz swing, occasionally using odd meter rhythm. |
