Tamás Balogh has been learning at Ferenc Liszt Academy. In 2011 he and his band won the first award of the International Jazz Competition in Marosvásárhely, and he won the award of the best soloist at the same time. In May of 2012 he won the award of the Best Combo Orchestration in the 5th National Composer and Orchestrator Competition. In 2013 he won the Creative Art Award, the first prize of the improvisation competition, in the same year he and his band won the award of the audience in the talent spotter competition, called Telentometer.
